💎 休学という決断。F3からF1へ

立命館アジア太平洋大学（APU）に在籍しながら現在は休学。
松井啓人は、いまF3カテゴリーで戦いながら、F1を目指している。

💎 インドネシアで始まった挑戦。最初から弱者だった

F1との出会いは父の影響。
だが本格的に意識したのは、インドネシアの日本人学校で、実際にレースをしている同世代と出会ったことだった。

中学からカートを始める。
しかし彼は、単にスタートが遅かったのではない。

古いマシン。
頻繁に交換できないタイヤ。
十分とは言えない練習環境。

資金的に恵まれた選手たちと同じ土俵で戦う中で、常に劣勢だった。

「常に弱者の立場だった」と語る。

だからこそ、走りを理論で磨いた。
父とともにデータを分析し、「どうすれば差を埋められるか」を徹底的に考えた。

環境で勝てないなら、思考で詰めるしかない。
この姿勢が、いまF3で戦う土台になっている。

💎 想像を超える資金規模。それでも設計する

レースは、個人競技に見えて総力戦だ。

カテゴリーが上がるごとに、必要な資金は桁違いになる。
参戦費、マシン、エンジニア、遠征、テスト走行。
年間で数億規模が動く世界だ。

現在も次のステップへ進むための交渉が続いている。
当然ながら、相応の資金が必要になる。

だが松井啓人は「支援してほしい」とは言わない。
言うのは、「価値をどう作るか」。

レーサーとして社会に何を還元できるか。
企業にとってどんな意味を持てるか。
支援を“消費”ではなく“共創”にできるか。

挑戦は、持続可能でなければならない。
その視点を、すでに持っている。

レース界は、才能だけでは上がれない。

ドライビングの本質は一点に絞れる。
平均速度をどれだけ高く保てるか。
ブレーキをどこまで詰められるか。

核心を見つけ、そこに集中する。
恐怖は“抱えながら進むもの”だと語る。

💎 二年間の離脱がつくった視点

高校時代、環境の変化と資金問題でレースを離れた。

生きがいを失った時間。
しかしその空白が、視野を広げた。

ヨーロッパ旅行で、堂々と生きる人々を見て自問する。

胸を張れているか。

そこから再び資金を自ら作り、レースへ戻った。

💎 Choosing to Pause University to Chase F1

Keito Matsui is currently on a leave of absence from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU).

Instead of following the typical university path, he made a deliberate decision:
to dedicate his life to racing and pursue the ultimate goal — Formula 1.

Today, he is competing in the Formula 3 category, one of the final stepping stones before Formula 2 and ultimately F1.

For Matsui, the dream is no longer abstract.
He is already on the ladder.

💎 A Beginning in Indonesia — Starting as the Underdog

Matsui’s connection to Formula 1 began early. His father watched F1 regularly, and the sport naturally became part of his childhood.

But the decisive moment came in Indonesia, where Matsui attended a Japanese school and met a fellow student who was already involved in racing.

He began karting in junior high school.

However, his challenge was not just starting late.
It was the environment he started from.

Other drivers often had access to the newest equipment and extensive practice time.
Matsui did not.

His kart was older.
Tires could not always be replaced frequently.
Practice opportunities were limited.

In his own words, he began his racing career from the position of an underdog.

Competing against drivers with stronger financial backing meant that he had to close the gap through thinking, analysis, and discipline. Together with his father, he studied data and driving techniques, constantly asking one question:

How can we overcome the difference in resources?

That mindset became the foundation of the driver he is today.

Racing may appear to be an individual sport, but in reality it is a massive team operation.

Engineers, mechanics, strategists, and technicians all work together to build and maintain a car capable of competing at the highest level.

As drivers progress through categories, the scale of funding grows dramatically.

During high school, Matsui stepped away from racing.

Changes in environment, personal struggles, and financial realities forced him to pause his career.

For a time, he lost what had been his central purpose.

During his first year of university, a trip through Europe sparked a moment of reflection. Seeing people walk confidently and purposefully made him ask himself a simple question:

The answer led him back to racing.
